You will find me at the intersection of cosmology, meditation, and cave painting.

My imagination is very much captured by the motion of celestial bodies: our earth as it revolves around our sun; our sun as it drags us along the galactic wheel; and our galaxy as it hurtles through space at colossal speeds.

Einstein concludes that space and time are relative. Through my meditation practice, I understand that there’s only constant change. Only impermanence. Never returning to what I once was or ever will be again. Since you started reading this, you and I have inhabited several loci in space and time.

Yet, I invoke a stubborn human time as I, like Michelangelo with his marble, carve out my visions using a pigment that was ubiquitous with our prehistoric ancestors:  red iron oxide. Though we’ve progressed forward in time, this pigment connects me with the deep past and is the red thread I carry into the future.

My work is therefore deeply concerned with a spirituality that is thoroughly human. A spirituality that gives me chills when I understand that the movement of our cosmos brought rise to us; a species that is able to contemplate beauty and wonder.

My work invites you to pause, bring your awareness to, and meditate on cosmic motion.
